GREENSBORO, Md. - John Thomas Nicholson Jr., 64, passed away Tuesday, July 5th at Memorial Hospital of Easton, Md. He was born on Feb. 18, 1947, in Chestertown, Md. He is survived by his wife and prayer partner of 30 years, Lois Nicholson; one daughter, Chris Schrock and husband James of Millington; a step daughter, Phyllis Tucker of Chestertown; two stepsons, Keith Carver of Ohio and James Carver of Virginia; nine grandchildren, Mike Tucker, Jason Carver, Jenny Leager, Johnny Dawson, Junior Schrock, Ashley Tucker, Kris Tucker, Jesse Dawson, and Sydney Carver; four great-grandchildren, Abby Loughry, Drew Sutton, Kay Lee Leager, and Lee Leager. John was a born again Christian and for 12 years was a part of the Appalachian Mission delivering food and supplies to South Eastern Kentucky. John operated "John's Welding" for the past 20 years and loved his job and his customers. John loved the Lord and his family. He was fond of hunting deer, turkey, and geese and he also loved to fish and crab with his buddies. He had a special hunting buddy, Scott Robey and his wife Pam and their little one, Jamie. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, July 8, at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, Md. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greensboro Cemetery, Greensboro, Md.
