John Seery Jr., 79

MILFORD - John Seery Jr. of Milford died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2007, in Milford Center. He was 79.

Mr. Seery was born in New York City to the late Ida (Primrose) Seery and John Joseph Seery Sr.

He moved from Green Township, N.J., to this area in 1993.

Mr. Seery was a foreman at Westinghouse Elevator Plant, Randolph, N.J., for 40 years, retiring in 1988.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of St. John"s Catholic Church, Milford.

Mr. Seery enjoyed gardening, watching TV and traveling, and was a general "Mr. Fix-it."

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Felicia I. (Bovery) Seery, in 2003.

He is survived by two children, John Seery III and his wife Kelly of Grimes, Iowa, and Patricia A. Seery of Milford; a brother, Thomas R. Seery and his wife Barbara of Asbury, N.J.; and his dog, Kissy.

Mass of Christian burial will be today at 11 a.m. in St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Seabury Avenue, Milford, where friends may call after 10 a.m.

Interment will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.

Contributions may be made to Delaware Hospice, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.

Arrangements are by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
