CAMDEN - John R. Weldy of Camden died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, in Westminster Village Health Center, Dover. He was 79.
Mr. Weldy was born Nov. 6, 1927, in Camden, N.J., son of the late Russell L. and Mabel (Teat) Weldy.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Weldy owned and operated his own real estate agency in Haddonfield, N.J.
He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Collingswood, N.J., and the Lions Club, Collingswood.
Mr. Weldy enjoyed planes and boats, and had his pilot"s license.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Vivian (Conover) Weldy of Camden; a son, John R. Weldy Jr. of Camden; two daughters, Patricia Squire of Marydel and Leslie Workman of St. Augustine, Fla.; and four grandchildren.
Services will be private.
The family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of choice.
