John L. Lesh, 70

MILFORD - John L. Lesh of Milford, formerly of Dover and Telford, Pa., died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, in Milford Memorial Hospital, Bayhealth Medical Center. He was 70.

Mr. Lesh was born Feb. 14, 1936, in Moscow, Pa., son of the late William and Mary (Petrick) Lesh.

He was a retail manager for F.W. Woolworth for 25 years and then Ames for 15 years before retiring in 2002.

He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 3, Milford.

Mr. Lesh enjoyed fishing and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Lesh, who died Feb. 5, 2007; and two sisters, Jane Newhart and Ruth Ames.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Esther Lesh; two sons, Michael J. Lesh of Philadelphia, and Steven D. Lesh of East Greenville, Pa.; two daughters, Kathleen Flaherty of Birdsboro, Pa., and Susan E. Lesh of Boulder, Colo.; four grandchildren, Ryan Englehart, and Sean, Patrick and Heather Flaherty; a brother, Gary Lesh of Mount Pocono, Pa.; and a sister, Lucille Newhart of Lake Ariel, Pa.

Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Ave., Milford.
