Satterfield, Sr., 77 GREENSBORO, Md. - John H. Satterfield, Sr., 77, a 50 year resident of Greensboro, Md. passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on July 15, 1936 in Greensboro to the late Carroll and Mildred Satterfield. Mr. Satterfield was employed with Johnson Control of Middletown, Del. retiring after 33 years of service. He was an avid hunter and trap shooter and was a life member of the Millington Sportsman's Club. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Satterfield; siblings, Virginia Taylor, Carroll, James and Charles Satterfield. He is survived by his children, Joanne Foy and husband Billy of Greensboro, Diane Satterfield of Easton, Mary Lee Sard and husband Ed of Felton and John H. Satterfield, Jr. and wife Karen of Ridgely; eight grandchildren, Allen Foy and wife Lori, James Foy and wife Megan, Christopher Lewis, Dion Pierson, Emily Pridgen, Johnathon Sard, Jay Downes, and Corry Downes; great grandchildren, Matthew, Katielay, Gracie, Paris, Armondo, Julez, Sanora, Joshia, Harley, Justin, Hailey, Harmony, Cassie, Chelsey, Robert and Austin; two sisters, Louise Smith of Farmington and Phyllis Lofland and husband Bruce of Felton; brothers, William Satterfield and wife Ann of Greensboro, Robert Satterfield and wife Elizabeth of Sudlersville; goddaughter, Jennifer Justin of North East; friend, Jeannie Hutson; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews cousins and friends. The funeral service will be 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at the Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Dec. 12 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greensboro Cemetery following the service.
