John 'Smitty' Francis Smith, 69 MILLSBORO - John "Smitty" Francis Smith, died with his loving wife beside him, Thursday, March 25, 2010, in Beebe Hospital, Lewes. Smitty most enjoyed traveling with his wife Ruth "Cookie" of 48 years and close friends Ed and Donna from Norwood. We love you and miss you. God only takes the best. Smitty is survived by his wife, Ruth "Cookie" Smith of Millsboro; daughter, Cindy Castagna of Aston, Pa.; grandchildren, Kimberly, Melinda, Christopher and Stephen Castagna of Chichester, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Richard and Brendan Briggs; sister, Sis Wampler of Florida; and brother, George Smith of Darby. A Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior.
