SMYRNA - John E. Wilson, IV born in May 1955, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Thursday, May 3, 2018.
John explored many different careers during his lifetime, but spent the last years traveling the country and camping in his RV. Through the years he enjoyed entertaining his friends and family and was known for his love of cooking.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John E. Wilson, III and Marilyn Sword Wilson of Smyrna; two beloved sisters, Merrill Stafford and Kathryn David; and grandparents, John E. Wilson Jr., Bertha Merrill Wilson of Smyrna, and William O. Sword and Viola Schaad Sword of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
John will be fondly remembered by his only son, John Arthur Wilson of St. Paul, Minn.; sister, Cynthia Dooley and husband Ronald of Smyrna; brother-in-law, Brian David of Smyrna; sister, Victoria Beck and husband Maurice of Chester, Va.; along with a host of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend the sincerest thanks to the nursing staff (3A and 2 north) at Bayhealth Dover for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers please support the steadfast work of Compassionate Care Hospice of Delaware, 248 E. Chestnut Hill Rd., Suite 4, Newark, DE 19713.
A celebration of John's life will be held at the "Big House" on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 3 p.m.
