OCEAN VIEW - John D. Heatwole, age 78, of Ocean View, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, surrounded by his loving family at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He is survived by his wife of 58 ½ years, Patsy J. (Kilburn) Heatwole; five children, Constance R. (Neil) Ohora, John D. (Deborah) Heatwole Jr., Dana S. (Julie) Heatwole, Michael B. (Susan) Heatwole, and Dale G. Heatwole; a sister, Gaynelle (Donald) Guercio; three stepbrothers; and nine grandchildren. A visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010, at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Ocean View. Interment with military honors will be 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, in the Chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
