DOVER - John "Jack" Andrew Costello passed away, Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at home.
Mr. Costello was born Oct. 30, 1932 in Ohio to the late John J. Costello and Mary Kenaelly Costello.
He served in the United States Navy for two years, during the Korean War. Mr. Costello was a columnist and wrote a political column for the Delaware State News "I Keep My Powder Dry", and in the 70's started a weekly paper the Dover Sentinel and also worked for the Dover Post. He ran for city council 1st district and also had a locally syndicated radio program.
Mr. Costello is survived by his son, John E. Costello of San Diego, Calif.; and granddaughter, Riley P.M. Costello.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday Feb. 28, 2018, Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd., Bear, DE 19701.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Veterans Home, 100 Delaware Veterans Blvd., Milford, DE 19963.
