Joan Lee Caulk

WYOMING - Joan Lee Caulk passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 74. Joan was born on March 6, 1940 in Dover, daughter of the late Woodrow and Thelma Legates Marvel. She had worked for Dr. David Schmidt for 15 years and also for Dr. Basilio Bautista for 25 years. Joan enjoyed her family, watching her grandchildren's events, and traveling. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Women of the Moose, Peoples United Church of Christ where she was on various committees. She also was a past member of the Governor's Advisory Council for Social Services, a board member of the Child Help Foundation and also the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company Auxiliary. Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Rodney L. Caulk, Sr. in 2001; her daughter, Lynda Caulk; and a sister, Joyce Payne. She is survived by three children, Theresa Lloyd of Wyoming, Rodney L. Caulk, Jr. of Wyoming and Lance Caulk of Wyoming; a brother, Julian Marvel of Dover; and a sister, Betty Reirden of Harrington; grandchildren, Chad Lee Caulk of Wyoming, Ryan Lloyd of Magnolia, Cody Lloyd of Wyoming, Rodney L. Caulk III of Wyoming, Lauren Caulk of Wyoming and Lucas Caulk of Wyoming; and great-grandchildren, Dylan Spence, Chad L. Caulk, Jr., and Natalie Lloyd. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday in the People's United Church of Christ, 46 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Peoples United Church of Christ, 46 S. Bradford St., Dover, DE 19904. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
