ELLENDALE - Joan Ennis Mitchell died on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown.
Joan was born on Aug. 12, 1932, to parents, Curtis W. Ennis, Sr. and Blanche Baker Ennis of Ellendale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merriel R. Mitchell in 1990; a brother, Curtis W. Ennis, Jr. in 2004; and a sister, Charlotte E. Transeau in 2009.
She is survived by a son, Merriel L. Mitchell and his wife, Shirley A. Mitchell of Ellendale; and two grandsons, Garrett A. Mitchell of Georgetown and Christopher L. Mitchell of Ellendale; one sister, Gradella E. Bunting and her husband, Harold Bunting, Jr. of Milford; and four nephews and one niece.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements will be handled by Berry-Short Funeral Home, Milford.
