MILFORD - Joan Edna Koenig passed away on Friday, Apr. 7, 2017, at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford.
She was born in Milford to the late Robert T. and Lucille (Palmer) Mason.
She worked at Bayhealth Rehabilitation Dept. for 26 years, and was the Lead C.N.A.
She was a member of the Harrington Moose Lodge. She enjoyed sewing and collecting lighthouses.
She was preceded in death by her 2nd husband, Steven K. Coverdale.
She is survived by her 3rd husband, George J. Koenig; daughter, Michelle Alspach of Milford; step-daughter, Pamela (Timothy) Parker of Milton; two granddaughters, Amber Hastings and Britanie Walls; two sisters, Lois Davidson of Magnolia and Gail Greenly of Felton; nephews, Kenneth Davidson and Steven Greenly; niece, Amy Lynn Greenly; and her grand cat, Bucky.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Apr. 14, 2017, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call Thursday, Apr. 13, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
