Joan Bush Wilson

HARRINGTON - Joan Bush Wilson, age 69, of Harrington Del., passed away on Jan. 19, 2011 surrounded by her family at her home. She was born on Oct. 27, 1941 in Regina, Saskatchewan Canada. She attended Harrington High School. After High School, she worked at Wilmington Trust, The City Hall of Harrington, Simmons Cable TV, A Hostess at Dover Downs and Service Energy of Dover. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Vera Bush; a brother Willard Bush; and a sister Thelma Johnson. She is survived by and sadly missed by her husband of almost 50 years, Lewis "Jake" Wilson; sons, Christian Wilson of Milford, Scott Wilson, David Wilson of Harrington, Mark and Melissa Wilson of Clayton; and daughter, Jodi and Gregg Ecenrode of Florida, seven grandchildren, Amber Ecenrode, Jacob Wilson, Blaire Ecenrode, Dakota Wilson, Sara Wilson, Danielle Wilson, Morgan Wilson; and one great-grandchild, Ryan Wilson; brothers, Ross Bush, Kenneth Bush, Max Bush; and sisters, Belva Smith and Mary Roland; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and lots of loving friends. She was an Alumni of Harrington High School class of 1959 and member of the Harrington Moose Lodge. She loved spending time with her family, camping and boating in Chincoteague, Va. She also enjoyed quilting, gardening, shopping and spending time with her dog Peppy and her horses. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday Jan. 24, 2011 at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington DE where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., following the service please join the family for refreshments at the Harrington Moose Lodge.
