REDDEN - Joan A. Fletcher passed away peacefully on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Beebe Healthcare. Joan was born in Milford, daughter of the late George L. and Dolly Green. Joan worked in the garden center for Walmart in Georgetown. She was past member of Milton Fire Department and Ellendale Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a past member of the Church of God in Georgetown and its ladies ministries. Joan loved NASCAR and was a fan of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and every summer she enjoyed watching her many backyard hummingbirds. In addition to her parents, Joan is preceded in death by her husband and best friend; Wade R. Fletcher, and an infant daughter, Hope Elaine. She is survived by her three sons, Randy, of Redden, Ernie and wife Christine, of Milton, and George, of Bridgeville; a brother, Steve Wilson and wife Kelly, of Ellendale; granddaughters, Jessy Chisenhall and husband Tony, of Georgetown and Ashley Robinson and husband Trae, of Lincoln; grandsons, Blake and Jake Fletcher, of Milton and Joshua Wade McGinnis, of Fla; great-grandchildren, Tatelyn, Logan, Hayden and Landen Chisenhall, all of Georgetown; dear friends, Linda and Ron Robison, of Georgetown; and her dog that she loved dearly, Molly Jo. The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Robert Wilson and nurses for all their care over the years. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal Street, Milton, with visitation from 11a.m. - 1p.m. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Ellendale Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, 302 Main Street, Ellendale, Del 19941. .
