Jo-Ann Harris, 74 NEW CASTLE - Jo-Ann Harris, 74, of New Castle, passed away on Feb. 16, 2010, at Christiana Hospital. She was the wife of the late Ralph Harris who passed away in 2005. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Anna Mae Schurter White. She is survived by her son, Joseph Schurter and his wife Joyce; grandchildren, Ron, Michael and Cathy; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Benjamin, Julieanna, Desire', Katlin, Madison, Christian, and Grace; dog, Buddy; and special friends: Sally Buck and Irene Chanzes. She will also be missed by her friends at the New Castle Farmer's Market. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 20, at Gebhart Funeral Home, 531 Delaware St., Olde New Castle, where the family will receive guests starting at 9 a.m. Interment will be at Silverbrook Cemetery.
