RISING SUN - Jimmie A. Brooks, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on Mar. 27, 2017.
He was a 20 year decorated veteran of the U.S.A.F., and continued his career with the Dover Post Office as a letter carrier.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Reid Brooks; daughter, Tara Mundy and husband, Michael; son, Drew Brooks and wife, Jennifer; and beautiful granddaughters, Alexis Slacum and Jessica Brooks; three sisters, Janet Brown (Ray), Joan Lawrence and Judy Bryson; and a brother, Joel Brooks, all of Smyrna, Ga.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon Monday, Apr. 3, 2017, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Visitation will be one hour before service. Internment will follow in the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Heartland Hospice.
