Jesse Paul Giles Sr.

FELTON - Jesse Paul Giles, Sr. of Felton, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital in Dover. He was 75. Mr. Giles was born in Rome, Ga., on August 19, 1935. He served his country, for 14 years, in the U. S. Air Force. A veteran during both the Korean and Vietnam wars, where he served as an aircraft mechanic. Following his service career he worked two jobs simultaneously, one at Sears and Roebuck, in the automotive department, and for the National Cup Company as a supervisor in engineering. Mr. Giles was brought to Felton when stationed at Dover Air Force Base in 1966. He is the last of nine siblings and is survived by; a wife, Judy Hinson Giles; a son, Jesse Paul Giles, Jr. of Hartly; two daughters, Kathy Gallagher and her husband, Alex, of Hartly and Terrenna D. Giles-Brown of Frederica, Del. Also surviving are; seven grandchildren, Shaney, Jennifer, Amanda, Jeff, Renay, Jesse, and Terrenna; and one great grandson, Sebastian. Funeral services will be at Noon, Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at the Torbert Funeral Chapel, South, (Rt. 10) 1145 E. Lebanon Rd., Dover, DE 19901, where, friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. Interment with military honors will be, 2 p.m., in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, Del.
