MILLSBORO - Jerome J. Kowalski of Millsboro died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, in his daughter's home in Magnolia, surrounded by his family. He was 75.
Mr. Kowalski was born Oct. 25, 1931, in Jamaica, N.Y., son of the late Frank and Helen (Woytowkz) Kowalski.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He worked as a scale master for the town of Oyster Bay, N.Y.
Mr. Kowalski was a member of AARP, Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post 28 of Oak Orchard-Riverdale, the Korean War Veterans of Oak Orchard, the CHEER Senior Center of Long Neck and the Modern Maturity Center, Dover.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kowalski, in 2002; and a son, Keith Kowalski, in 2003.
He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Christina and Paul Kuloszewski of Magnolia, and Clare Kowalski of Catskill, N.Y.; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Kevin and Debbie Kowalski of Hicksville, N.Y., and Christopher and Jill Kowalski of West Islip, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Alexis Kuloszewski of Magnolia, Thomas Kowalski and Sara Kowalski, both of Hicksville, and Nicole and Danielle Kowalski, both of Middle Island, N.Y.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be private in New York.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Oak Orchard-Riverdale American Legion Post 28, 31768 Legion Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.
