Jennaro 'Yen' Pullano, 80
GEORGETOWN - Jennaro "Yen" Pullano, of Georgetown, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at home surrounded by his loving wife, sons Tony and Jeff, daughters-in-law, Barbara and Jennifer and sister-in-law, Diane. He was 80.
He worked at Car Tech in Reading, Pa., as a furnace operator for 25 years.
Mr. Pullano and his wife owned "Genaros" at 11th and Buttonwood Street in Reading for 10 years.
He loved traveling, cooking, gardening, fishing, and boating.
Mr. Pullano served in the Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen (Fierro) and Carmen Pullano; and a grandson, Damien Pullano.
In addition to his wife, Carol he is survived by 11 children, Jeanette Erikson, Carmen McLean, Claire Peterson wife of Roger, Mark Pullano, Adrienne McDonough wife of Robert, Gina Madeira wife of Eric, Michael and his wife Chrissy, Tony and his wife Barbara, Stephen and his wife Michelle, Christi Czarnecki, and Jeff Fisher and his wife Jennifer; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Carmela, Rosie, Annie, and Helen; brothers, Salvatore, Joseph, and Anthony; and mother-in- law, Ellen (Ream) Trout. He will also be sadly missed by his five Shih Tzus, Daisy, Sophie, Sadie, Sage, and Reamie, who loved him dearly.
The family would like to extend a very special heartfelt thanks to all who took care of "Yen" or just stopped in to say hello during his stay at Beebe Medical Center 3 MS.
Also, a very special thank you to Dr. Rajshekar Narasimaiah and his staff at Bethany Primary Care and to Dr. Ercilia Arias of Lewes Pulmonary.
Services will be held privately.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to, Melson Funeral Services, P.O. Box 100, Frankford, DE 19945, to help defray funeral expenses.
