LAUREL - Jeffrey J. Allman, age 57 of Laurel, formerly of Glenolden, Pa. passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford.
Jeff was born in Woodlyn, Pa. on September 14, 1958 to Edward Jack and Jeanne (Collis) Allman. He was a 1977 graduate of Ridley Township High School. Jeff was currently employed as a manager at the McDonald's in Rehoboth Beach, where he had served with the Meoli Companies for the past 15 years.
Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, gardening and boating. He was deeply devoted to his family and loved playing and spending time with his grandkids.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanne Allman in 1992.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sandy Allman; five children, Jeremy Allman and his wife Raechelle Allison of Long Neck, Jonathan Allman and his companion, Jessica Bosley of Ellendale, Chelsea Allman and her companion Dana Henry of Laurel, Robert Allman of Laurel, and Catelyn Allman of Laurel; his father, Edward Jack Allman and his companion Helen Campanella of Lewes; and a brother, Jack Allman and his wife Pamela. Jeff is also survived by his five grandchildren, Alexander Zolocsik, Thomas Zolocsik, Lanaya Henry, Zatanna Allman and Isaiah Bosley; and two great grandchildren, Dominick Sheldon and Leah Sheldon.
A visitation will be held from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966, where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
As Jeff loved the outdoors and nature, the family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name could be made to the National Wildlife Federation by visiting www.nwf.org
