Jeanette Madeline Turner, 79

DOVER - Jeanette Madeline Turner, of Dover departed this life Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 79.

Mrs. Turner was born July 22, 1927, in Wilmington, to the late Abe Turner and Mary Freeman.

Her was a member of the Holy Trinity Church. Her confidence in the Lord encouraged her to have a passion for the word and to become a strong, faithful prayer warrior. Whatever circumstances came her way, she would activate her faith and trust the Lord to the end. She whole-heartedly dedicated her life to Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Hines; her sisters, Margaret Wright, Evelyn Turner and Anna Turner; and her brothers, Max Turner and Oliver Turner.

She is survived by six daughters, Floretta Taylor, Lola Curtis, and Mary Heinz, all of California, Margaret Heinz of New Jersey, and Beverly Vann and JoAnne Johnson of Delaware; four sons, William Heinz, Walter Heinz and Ralph Johnson, all of Delaware; and John Heinz of New Jersey; four special grandchildren - David Robinson, Natasha Robinson, Danielle Johnson and Latoya Vann, all of Delaware; 106 additional grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division Street, Dover, where friends may call two hours earlier.

Burial will be in Whatcoat Cemetery, Dover.

Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division Street, Dover, DE.
