LEWES - Jean Lavely of Lewes died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at home. She was 77.
Jean moved to Lewes from Wheaton, Md., in 1995.
She was a homemaker and retired from Roy Rogers as a manager.
Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and daughter.
She loved to dance and enjoyed the beach.
Jean was preceded in death by her father, Philip Ola; her stepfather and mother, Charles Lavely and Pearl Viola Rose; her first husband, Robert Kels, in 1977; and her son, Daniel C. Lavely, in 1985.
She is survived by her husband of 18 years, William C. Lavely; her children, Michael Kels, Jeffrey Lavely, Ronald Lavely, David Lavely, Jeffrey W. Lavely, Susie Hitz, Kathy Simpson, Delores Zierdt, Lenora Sue Clark and Cynthia Peyton; one brother, William Lavely; a sister-in-law, Barbara Lavely; 43 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be noon Thursday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call two hours prior.
Scott Simpson will officiate.
Interment will be private.
Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to Mesothelioma Research Foundation, 5716 Corsa Ave., Suite 203, Westlake Village, CA 91362; or Delaware Hospice Southern Division, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
