Jean Eloise (Lawson) Sweetman, 87

CLAYTON - Jean Eloise (Lawson) Sweetman of Clayton passed away Monday, May 21, 2007, at Silver Lake Nursing Center, Dover. She was 87.

She was born July 25, 1919, in Dover, to the late Artus and Mildred (Stayton) Lawson.

Jean was a homemaker and worked at Playtex.

She enjoyed reading.

Jean is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bayard E Sweetman of Clayton; her children and their spouses, Gary A. and Beverly Sweetman of Smyrna, and Bayard D. and Sherry Sweetman of Rochester, Minn.; her grandchildren and their spouses, Dwayne and Elaine Sweetman of Charlottesville, Va., Mark and Anna Sweetman of Dover, Derek and Sarah Sweetman of Centerville, Va., and Danika and Michael Stagemeyer of Rochester; her great-grandchildren, Miranda and Sofia; and her brothers and their wives, Donald and Maggie Lawson of Leipsic, and Richard and Pat Pawson of Dover.

Remembrance services will be Friday at 2:30 p.m. at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, where friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will be at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the Dover Fire Department, 103 S. Governors Ave., Dover, DE 19904.
