Dover - Jean Charmaine Friend, affectionately known as Jeannie, went home to be with the Lord early Sat., morning, Mar. 7, 2015, surrounded by her loving family and close friends. She was born in Dover to Margaret and Charles Groce on Mar. 18, 1958. She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Groce. She is survived by her father, Charles Groce; four children, DaShawn Friend, Derron Tillery (Summer), Byron Friend, Jr. and Jenay Friend all of Dover; Sisters, Shela Groce-Gray (Jim), Tina Nichols (Howard), Etha Davis (Titus); and brothers, Charles Groce II (Linda), Mark Groce (Darlene); 12 Grandchildren; and one Great Grandchild; and a host of friends and family. A jubilant homegoing service will be held on Fri., Mar. 13, 2015, at 12:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 163 Victory Chapel Road, Dover. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
