Jared Daniel Grove

Philadelphia, Pa. - Jared Daniel Grove, of Philadelphia, Pa., formerly of Smyrna passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018.
Jared was born on Dec. 17, 1987 in Dover, the son of the late John Daniel "Jack" Grove and Carol P. Grove of Smyrna.
He was a graduate of Smyrna High School and the University of Delaware. Jared earned both a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering.
He was formerly employed by Schweitzer Laboratories of King of Prussia, Pa. and was currently employed by PECO of Philadelphia, Pa., both as an Electrical Engineer.
Jared was a musician at heart and enjoyed playing the guitar. He extended his talents restoring musical equipment. In previous years, he had worked with his father on the water. He had enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Daniel "Jack" Grove.
Jared is survived by his mother, Carol P. Grove of Smyrna; his sister, Candace L. Shetzler-Gunter, her husband Stuart Gunter, and their son, Chance Gunter of Lewes; and his aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Services will be privately held at Faries Funeral Home.
