DOVER - Janice Evonne Wysong passed away Monday, Oct. 19, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. Jan was born in Charleston, S.C. Feb. 2, 1956 to the late Verda Ruth and Gerald Wysong. She lived most of her life in her beloved birthplace and for more than 30 years was the manager and driving force behind her father's small business AAA Wysong Glass Company. Jan was passionate about her family, music, bargains at Goodwill, flea markets, and yard sales, and rescuing neglected or discarded animals. She was tough, loyal and the best ever sister, aunt, friend, confidant, advisor, and patient. Her direct, opinionated responses left no question as to her position on numerous topics. She will be missed more than words can convey. Jan's survivors include her sister Pamela (Michael) Lenigan, Dennis (Leeann) Wysong, Linda (John) Bolduc, and Becky Wysong Thomas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, family members and dear friends. Jan was, and her family members will be forever grateful for the kindness, compassion, and care provided by Doctor Wendy Newell and Doctor David Schmidt and their staff during Jan's final weeks of life with her extraordinary difficult progression through her illness.
