DOVER - Janice A. Sunde was born on Sept. 21, 1948, in Watertown, Minn., to John P. Krippner and Dorothy M. (Doerr) Krippner. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1966 and attended the University of Minnesota, majoring in Home Economics Education.
In 1970, she married Thomas C. Sunde, of Stewart, Minn., and they had three children, Sonia, Nichole and Jason. Tom's military career took the family to San Antonio, Texas, Wiesbaden, Germany and finally they retired in Dover.
Janice did substitute teaching in Texas, Germany and Delaware. She also worked for the State of Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, and Division of Parks & Recreation and also the Division of Air and Waste Management. She retired after 20 years as a Fiscal Administrative Officer.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Sonia. She is survived by her husband, Thomas; daughter, Nichole; son, Jason; daughter-in-law, Michele (Reeder); grandson, Jonathan; and granddaughter, Mara. Also surviving are her sister, Sandra and husband, Gary Krcil; brother, John and wife, Mary Krippner; sister, Patricia and husband, William Biesell; and her brother-in-law, John and wife, Maria Sunde.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Mar. 29, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m., with evening vigil at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Funeral mass will be Thursday, Mar. 30, 2017, at 10 a.m., at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover.
