HENDERSON, Md. - Janet R. Schnoor of Henderson, formerly of Annapolis, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, in Memorial Hospital at Easton. She was 83.
Mrs. Schnoor was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Annapolis, daughter of the late Jonathan and Agnes (Schwallenberg) Rawlings.
She was a graduate of Annapolis High School.
Mrs. Schnoor was a secretary for the state of Maryland Comptroller"s Office in the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax Division.
She moved to Henderson in 2001 from Annapolis. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Schnoor attended the Trinity United Methodist Church, Annapolis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Werner G. Schnoor, April 19, 2000; and a son, David W. Schnoor, in 1959.
She is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Steven J. and Hazel E. Schnoor of Annapolis; a daughter and a son-in-law, Kathie S. and Michael G. Madigan of Goldsboro; three grandchildren, Lucas Madigan of Goldsboro, Ryan Madigan of Denton, and Michelle Schnoor of Lothian.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro.
Services will be noon Wednesday in Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, where friends also may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Cedar Bluff Cemetery, Annapolis.
