Janet M. (Boyer) Serba, 73

OCEAN VIEW - Janet M. (Boyer) Serba, of Ocean View, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, after battling cancer. She was 73.

Janet was born on Feb. 3, 1935, in Wernersville, Pa., to the late William Earl Boyer and Susan Marie Delaney Boyer.

She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Bethany Beach.

Janet was an artist, ceramic teacher and full-time mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sorely missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Theodore C. Serba III.

Janet is survived by her husband, Theodore C. Serba; seven children, Brenda Stanley and husband Ronald, Diane Clouser and husband Robin, Susan Berube and husband Doug Domeshek, Linda Capone and Teresa Korczykowski, all living in Pennsylvania, Daniel P. Serba and wife Courtney of Dagsboro; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Carolee Apsokardu and husband George of Temple, Pa.; and a brother, William Boyer of West Lawn, Pa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. today in St. Ann's Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, where friends may call at the church at 9:30 a.m.

Father David F. Kelley will celebrate the Mass.

Blessing services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Milkins Funeral Home, 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple, Pa., with burial following in Gethsemane Cemetery, in Temple, Pa.

Instead of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-0163.
