REHOBOTH BEACH - Janet F. Waples of Rehoboth Beach died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, in her home. She was 69.
She was born Sept. 22, 1937, in Pottstown, Pa., daughter of the late Anthony James Zigman and Doll Groller. She moved to the Lewes area as a young girl.
In her early years, Mrs. Waples worked at Angler's Restaurant and The Dressco Dress Manufacturer. She then purchased the Ocean Bay Laundromat, which she owned and operated for 31 years, closing the doors in October 2006.
She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia L. Truitt and Collette Pepper, both of Rehoboth Beach; a son, Gerald Tarr Jr. of Rehoboth, Beach; a brother, Butch Zigman of Lewes; her significant other, Ramon "Fuzzy" Leindecker of Rehoboth Beach; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Pastor Randy Booth will officiate.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Tunnell Cancer Center, 424 Savannah Road, Lewes, DE 19958.
