She was best known as Miss Betty, the Frankford Public Library's Librarian, a position she held for decades. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jack S. Lynch; her six children, Gayle Chandler, Douglas Lynch, Gregory Lynch, Denise Dukes, Jane Hawkins, Janice Brosnahan and their families; her siblings, Helen Murray, Jackie Tingle, Shirley Fisher, Mordecai Hudson Jr. and their families. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 20, 2012, at Melson's Funeral Home on Thatcher St. in Frankford, DE. Interment will be private.
