EARLEVILLE, Md. - James Wesley Rees Jr. of Earleville, formerly of Ridley Park, Pa., died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, in his home, of lung cancer. He was 58.
Mr. Rees was born July 25, 1948, and raised in Norwood, Pa., son of James Wesley Rees Sr. of Wachula, Fla. and the late Lillian (Burns) Rees.
He was an Eagle Scout and a past member of the Norwood Fire Department.
Mr. Rees was employed as a foreman by the Sun Oil Co., Philadelphia, for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lorraine (Patrick) Rees of Earleville; a son and a daughter-in-law, James Wesley III and Maria Rees of Wilmington; a daughter and a son-in-law, Bonnie Ann and Jim Kostyk of Cape Coral, Fla.; a brother, Stephen O. Rees of Boothwyn, Pa.; and six grandchildren, Brittany Harris, Ashley Harris, Lea Rees, James Kostyk Jr., Sean Kostyk and Brandon Kostyk.
Services will be noon Saturday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Season Hospice and Palliative Care of Maryland, 229 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921.
