James Wesley Gray

HARTLY - James Wesley "Wes" Gray was called home to receive his heavenly wings on March 27, 2018.
James was born in Harrington and raised in Houston. He attended Harrington Elementary School and William Henry High School. Later in life he was trained in welding at Poly Tech.
At the age of 18 he was drafted into the United States Army. After his distinguished service to our nation he returned to Delaware and resumed his job with General Foods (Kraft). He retired in 2004.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shela Groce-Gray; son, John Green IV (Solange); daughter, Nychelle Louden (John); father, Charles Coverdale; five sisters, Alice, Betty, Hazel, Freda and Charlotte; two brothers, Haywood and Charles; and his five beloved grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Coverdale; and his brother, Benjamin Gray.
A viewing will take place Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming. Graveside service to follow 1:30 p.m. at Williamsville Cemetery, Houston. Share a memory at www.pippinfuneralhome.com
