Parker "JP", 76 BOWERS BEACH - James W Parker, passed away Friday, May 24, 2013. He was born to the late James Parker and Bessie Wilcutts on Dec. 18, 1936 in Leipsic, Del. He was a member of the Delaware National Guard, Leipsic Volunteer Fire Company, American Legion Post #7 in Harrington, and Union Lodge #7. He served 20 years with the Delaware State Police retiring at the rank of Lieutenant in 1978. He was a charter boat Captain and owned "JP's Wharf and Restaurant" in Bowers. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Charles E. Parker. James is survived by Maureen Reb, his sister, and her husband, Ronald, of Dover; Clara Russell of Milford; Kevin Reb of Frederica; Robert Reb of Middletown; Pete Russo and his wife Roberta, of Bowers Beach; Sarah and Emilie Russo of Bowers Beach. Friends and family may visit at Trader Funeral Home, Lotus Street, Dover, Del., Thursday, May 30, 2013, at 10 a.m. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Barratt's Chapel. Family and friends are requested to dress casual for the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jimmy's memory are requested to be sent to the Delaware State Police Museum, P. O.
