James W. 'Jimmy' Garboski, 52

MARYDEL, MD - James W. "Jimmy" Garboski, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, in Bayhealth Kent General Hospital. He was 52. Jimmy was born Aug. 3, 1956 in Manhasset, N.Y., the son of the late Thomas F. and Eleanor Corbey Garboski. He was a self-employed auto mechanic, who enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers and gardening. Jimmy is survived by a brother, Robert J. Garboski, of Smyrna; a sister, Cathy Wilson, of Smyrna; his loving companion of 17 years , Laverne Meadows; a niece, Crystal Seacord and her husband Bryan, of Greensboro, Md.; and a nephew, Robert Wilson and his fiancée Brandi Stanley, of Smyrna. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday Dec. 12, 2008 in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 100 W. 10th St., Suite 1002, Wilmington, DE 19801. Arrangements are by Faries Funeral Directors and Crematorium Inc., 29 S. Main St., Smyrna. Letters of condolence may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
