James W. 'Jay' Conley III, 44

FREDERICA - James W. "Jay" Conley III of Frederica died on Tuesday May 1, 2007, in Milton. He was 44.

Jay was born in Dover, to Cary and James W. Conley Jr.

He graduated from Lake Forest High School in 1981.

He grew up in the family business, Conley Hardware, where he learned his strong work ethics from his Pop Pop, James W. Conley Sr.

For the past 15 years he has worked for J.G. Townsend Jr. and Co., where he was the supervisor of farming operations.

Jay, a true and loyal friend to many, enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved his family dearly. We will forever hold him in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James W. Conley Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Eleanor and William Bispham; and his aunt, Joan Leonard.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sharon Elaine Conley; one son, James W. (Jason) Conley IV and his wife, Rachel Conley; grandson, Will Winslow of Hampstead, N.C.; one sister, Connie Conley and her companion, Viki Pace of Little Heaven; his father, James W. Conley Jr. of Scio, Ohio; his mother, Cary Conley of Venice, Fla.; his paternal grandmother, Clara Marie Conley of Little Heaven; one aunt, Mary Bispham of Texas; one uncle, Jack Leonard of Luray, Va.; cousins, Julia Leonard and her husband, Steve Kowell, Jimmy Leonard and his wife, Karen and their sons, Ethan and Justin; sister-in-law, Sande Price and her husband, Mike; brother-in-law, Raymond H. Warren Jr. and his wife, Lisa; nephews, Drew Price, Kris Price and his wife, Joey, Zach and his companion, Courtney McCoy; nieces, Carrie Mabrey and her husband, Izzy, and Amanda Warren; great-nieces, Cora Mabrey and Gracie Mabrey; and mother and father-in-law, Shirley and Raymond H. Warren Sr.

Memorial services will be Saturday at Barratt's Chapel in Frederica at 4 p.m., where friends may visit with the family one hour prior. There will be no viewing.

Interment will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery following the service.

Arrangements by Price Funeral Home, Harrington.
