James T. Conlogue Jr.

DOVER - James T. Conlogue Jr. of Dover died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, at his residence. He was 52.

Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Conlogue lived in Dover for most of his life and graduated from Dover High School in 1974.

He worked in food service for several years and was employed with Thompson Family Caterers.

Mr. Conlogue was a faithful member of the BPO Elks Lodge 1903, where he served three terns on the house committee. He was selected as Elk of the Year, 1995-96, and in 2001-02 he was the recipient of the Grand Exalted Ruler's Outstanding Service Commendation.

He was also a longtime member of the Sons of the American Legion, Walter L. Fox Post 2.

Mr. Conlogue enjoyed fishing and NASCAR and was a loyal supporter of Dale Earnhardt Jr.

He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Mr. Conlogue was preceded in death by his father, James T. Conlogue Sr., in 1980.

He is survived by his wife, Susan (Utley) Conlogue of Dover; his mother and stepfather, Ann Conlogue Fisher and Jessie J. Fisher of Dover; his son, James T. Conlogue III of Dover; two stepsons, W. Douglas Walker and David S. Walker, both of Dover; a stepdaughter, Megan E. Moorehead and her husband Donnie of Wilmington; a brother, Philip P. Conlogue of Venice, Fla.; two sisters, Linda M. Keyser of Dover and Debbie A. Miller and her husband Greg of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.; four brothers-in-law, Michael Utley of Dover, Gary Utley and his wife Patty of Woodside, Bill Utley and his wife Nancy of Ocean City, N.J., and Scott Utley and his wife Deanie of Middletown; his sister-in-law, Nancy West of Harrington; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, South State Street, Dover.

Burial will be in Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover.

The family suggests donations in his memory to the BPO Elks National Foundation, 200 Salisbury Road, Dover, DE 19904.
