James Ronald 'Jim' Fraser, 74
DAGSBORO - James Ronald "Jim" Fraser, of Dagsboro, passed from this earthly life on Friday, Dec. 28, 2007. He was 74.
Jim was the only child born to James Angus and Elizabeth Fraser on June 4, 1933, in Queens, N.Y.
He was raised in Queens and spent summers during his early years on his uncle's farm in upstate New York.
As a teen, Jim spent his summers at Rock Ridge Lake in Denville, N.J., where he established many of his longstanding friendships.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956, spending a tour of duty in Japan during the Korean War.
Jim married the love of his life, Eleanor Katrina Krauss, on Dec. 11, 1954.
He was a longstanding member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Succasunna, N.J., where he sang in the choir for many years.
Jim, a glazier by trade, joined his parents working at Denville Glass Co., in Denville, in 1956.
He retired as its owner in 1996 after 40 years of dedicated service.
Upon retiring and moving to Dagsboro, he and Eleanor became active members of Community Lutheran Church, where Jim was an active member of the choir.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor; and two daughters, Joyce Fraser and her partner Amy Stewart and Janet Schneider and her husband Rene'
Two memorial services will be held for James. One will be held Jan. 27 at Community Lutheran Church in Omar, and the second one April 6 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Succasunna.
These services will be held tentatively at 2 p.m.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to American Heart Association, 600 N. DuPont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947.
