James R. Jester, Jr. of Middletown, Del. and formerly of Milford, Del. passed away on Feb. 23, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on November 6, 1962 in Milford, Del. to James and Joyce Jester. Jim spent most of his adult life in Middletown where he established a home full of love and laughter with his wife, Veronica and sons Noah, Samuel and Nathan. Jim worked for UPS for 30 years, first as a driver and then would be promoted to supervision. He spent much of his time with his boys either at a dirt bike track, basketball court, football or soccer field. He also enjoyed times at the beach reading, fishing or in the flower garden.
In addition to his parents; Jim is survived by his wife of 31 years, Veronica. Jim also leaves behind his children, Noah (Mikala), Samuel (Sharon), Nathan (Emily) all of Middletown, Del.
Viewing service will be held on Friday, March 5, 2021 at 6 to 8 p.m. and the Memorial service to be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11 a.m. Each to be held at True Life Church, 130 Executive Dr #8, Newark DE 19702. Covid-19 precautionary measures will be in use as well as live streaming will be available from the obituary pages of McCrery & Harra Funeral Home website at www.mccreryandharra.com
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wilmington University in memory of James Jester, where a scholarship fund will be established. (Checks made payable to Wilm University Development Office, 320 N. Dupont Hwy., New Castle DE 19720 or online gift to www.wilmu.edu/tributegift).
