HARTLY - James Kenneth Allison "Jimmy" passed away, Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2018.
Jimmy was born March 8, 1966 in Dover on Dover Air Force Base to Walter J. Allison and Margaret Emory Allison.
He worked in construction for over 30 years, and owned and operated his own construction company Allison's General Construction. Jimmy enjoyed train collecting, camping, gardening, was a Steelers fan and mostly spending time with family and friends.
Survived by his loving wife of 3 ½ years, and lifelong friend of 16 years Paula Allison of Hartly; his parents Walter and Fran Allison of Dover; brothers, Edward Allison (Tammy) and Kenneth Allison (Lisa) both from Dover; father-in-law, Thomas Hungerford of Dover; and a sister-in-law, Debi Shelley (Steve) Las Vegas, Nev,; 1/2 sisters, Donella Reynolds from Maryland and Inez Howell from West Virginia; nieces and nephews, Joshua Allison, Chelsea Allison, Lauren Allison and Dylan Allison; special longtime friends, Robert Cox of Lewes, Enrico LePore of Dover and Mike Monahan of Dover; and lots of close extended family and friends. Please feel free to dress casually.
Memorial services will be held 5 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, DE 19904 to help defray funeral expenses.
