FELTON - James L. Hart, Jr., passed away peacefully at Christiana Medical Center on Sunday May 29, 2016. Mr. Hart was born in Dover, to the late James and Viola May (Hammond) Hart, Sr. He loved movies and playing on the computer, as well as spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed going to the Harrington Casino. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Steele; and brother, William Hart, Sr. James is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alice (Elburn) Hart; daughters, Donna and Delano Pettit, of Felton, and Kim and Tom Fraley ,of Chincoteague, Va.; grandchildren, James and Charles Pettit, and Connie and Brian Beebe. A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 2, 2016 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main St., Felton, DE., 19943, where friends may call after 12 noon. Interment will be at Church Hill Cemetery in Church Hill, Md.
