Jimmy was born November 6, 1932 in Cheswold, to the late Franklin and Mary Johnson. He worked for Spencer Seed in Clayton leaving there to work for George and Lynch (Tilcon) retiring in 1998. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, shooting blue rocks (scoring 100 out of 100), gardening, sports and spending time with the family sharing stories of his early childhood. He loved all sports being and avid fan of the Phillies, where he tried out and was told to go home and gain some weight. :-) He also loved the Eagles, 76ers and Flyers but his passion was for baseball. He loved singing goodnight Irene which was his favorite song. Also dancing was a passion and everyone would get off the floor when he started Jitterbugging with his sister Winnie. When the family had Sunday dinner he always waited for all the family to eat before he ate himself.
