GALENA, Md. - James F. Henry of Galena died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007, in Churchman Village, Newark, Del. He was 73.
Mr. Henry was born July 10, 1933, in Baltimore, son of the late Verblee Boardley and Laura Henry.
He moved to Galena at the age of 18 and worked as a laborer on numerous farms in the Galena area. Even as his eyesight failed, he continued working for Pumpkin Shell Nursery, Rudnick's, St. Dennis Church and small jobs and errands for everyone in and around Galena.
Mr. Henry was a faithful member of St. Dennis Roman Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sister, Lily Smith and her husband, James of Wilmington, Del.; two nieces; and seven nephews and their families, all who helped care for him.
Friends may call from 10 to noon Friday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Dennis Roman Catholic Church, 153 N. Main St., Galena, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in St. Dennis Cemetery.
