James E. 'Pops' Wagstaff, 67

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - James E. "Pops" Wagstaff of Cambridge died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury as the result of an automobile accident in Delmar. He was 67.

Mr. Wagstaff was born April 28, 1939, in Baltimore, son of the late Isaiah "Ike" and Roxanna (White) Turner.

He received his general education in the Baltimore City public schools.

Mr. Wagstaff worked in various capacities, the last being self-employed as the owner of a horse stable.

He is survived by two daughters, Janet Wagstaff Ahuloo of Cambridge and Valerie D. Brown of Baltimore; five grandchildren, Willie Parrine Jr. of Cambridge, Jonae P. Cooley and her husband, Floyd of Cambridge, Keith L. Brown, Michael Harrison and Shonya Payton, all of Baltimore; and four great-grandchildren, Jaquetta Parrine, Dontesia Shields, Dasia Parrine and Dontia Shields; an uncle, Gene Lester Wagstaff and his wife of Baltimore; an aunt, Queen Esther Wagstaff of Baltimore; a close friend of the family, Emma J. Weldon of Baltimore; and a host of other community friends.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Johns Holiness Church, Cambridge, where friends may call two hours earlier.

Burial will be in S.J. Brisco Memorial Park, Cambridge.
