MILFORD - James "Jim" David Morris passed away peacefully at Delaware Hospice Center on Saturday, June 2, 2018.
Jim was born in Milford to the late Elmer and Mary (McIlvain) Morris and worked as the head mechanic for the City of Milford. He was an expert in anything mechanical and loved classic cars and model trains.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Morris.
He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Morris; sons, James C. Morris and Stuart Butler; sister, Sarah Murray; grandchildren, Richard and Amber Morris, Skye and Johnathan Ward, Megan, Daisy and Jerry Legates, and Elijah and Tristan Butler.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Christian Center, 347 Calvary Rd., Milford, DE 19963. A visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, DE 19963 as well as at 10 a.m. at the church.
Interment at Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Lighthouse Christian Center, 347 Calvary Road, Milford, DE 19963 or Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
