James Alexander Waite Sr

Waite, Sr. 77 HARTLY - James Alexander Waite, Sr. of Hartly, passed away, Thursday, June 2, 2016 at Seasons Hospice Christiana Care. Mr. Waite was born October 23, 1938 in Greenbackville, Va., to the late Elmer and Mary Waite. He was a self-employed over the road truck driver for many years. Mr. Waite enjoyed fishing shooting pool and especially sitting on his deck in the afternoons In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Joe, Clay, Dale, Daniel, Preston and Virginia. He is survived by his children, Katherine Waite-Rue, James A. Waite, Jr., Jamie George, James Clifton Randford Waite "Beau," all of Dover; sisters, Mabel Faulkner of Hartly, Louise Balke of Woodside and Helen Darling of Salisbury, Md.; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Lakeside Cemetery, Dover. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
