ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Jacqueline Melissa (Brittingham) Clarke, of Rochester, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008. She was 33.

Jacqueline was born April 22, 1974, in Lewes, Del., to Yvonne Hopkins and Noah Brittingham.

She was a student at H.O. Brittingham Elementary School, Milton Junior High School and Cape Henlopen Senior High School.

Jacqueline had a degree in business management.

She was a full time student at Everest Institute in Rochester. She was studying to be an accountant and made the president's and dean's lists.

Jacqueline's hobbies were singing, dancing, computers and comedy. She longed to do stand up comedy and loved her family.

She loved to laugh and her smile was contagious.

She is survived by a son, Jabari Matio-Nii Oblie; two sisters, Youlanda Hopkins and Tanya Brittingham Sanders; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to the staff at Strong Memorial Hospital and R.O.1.

Funeral services were at Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church, Ellendale, Del.

Interment will be in Old Hickory Cemetery, Slaughter Neck, Del.

Arrangements by Young & McPherson Funeral Home, Milford.
