GALENA, Md. - Jacqueline H. Briscoe of Galena died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006, in Chester River Manor, Chestertown. She was 76.
Mrs. Briscoe was born May 21, 1930, in Galena, daughter of the late James and Henrietta (Benson) Harris.
She worked for Campbell Soup, Chestertown, for 30 years, retiring in 1992.
Mrs. Briscoe enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and listening to music.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, George Briscoe; a daughter, Earnestine Gillis of Smyrna, Del.; a niece and her spouse, Wendy and Percy Robinson of Galena; a nephew, Nathaniel Hackett of Smyrna, Del.; a sister, Louise Harris of New Castle; and four grandchildren and their spouses, Shawnetta and Howard Bailey, Shauntay and Wayman Smith, Ronald Gillis Jr. and Charles Bessix.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., where friends may call one hour earlier.
