SEAFORD - Jacque Charles Warrington of Seaford died Thursday, May 3, 2007, in Methodist Manor House, Seaford. He was 86.
He was born in Wilmington, the son of the late Elsie Adams and Charles William Warrington.
He was painter at the DuPont Co. in Seaford, until retiring in 1981 after 31 years of service.
He grew up in west Philadelphia, but Seaford, where his paternal grandmother and many aunts and uncles lived, was always home.
Jacque served in the U.S. Army during World War II in France.
He was a charter member and past commander of Virgil Wilson VFW Post 4961.
He was an avid reader of historical fiction; he loved to putter around in his shop, watched NASCAR faithfully and had a wonderful sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Ellen Pugh Warrington, who died in 2003.
He is survived by a daughter, Judith C. Warrington of Richmond, Va.
A graveside service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Seaford.
