FELTON - Jacob Logan Rinaldi, passed away from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008. He was 15. Jacob was born in Dover, son of Stephen J. Rinaldi Jr. of Felton, and his mother who passed away in the same accident, Kelly D. Rinaldi. Jacob was a 10th grader at Lake Forest High school where he was in the Gifted Program, and was well liked by his fellow classmates and teachers. He enjoyed participating in the Odyssey of the Mind competition, where he was a participant three times. He loved to read books and comic books.He especially loved to share his affection of comic books and video games with his father. Jacob's love of cooking inspired him to be a chef, and he loved to cook dinner for the whole family once or twice a week. Jacob also liked to debate anything from politics to religion. Whichever side you were on, he picked the other side, just to get a rise out of you. Jacob loved his family dearly, and he took his role of being a big brother seriously to his siblings. He will be remembered as a wonderful son, brother, and grandson, that anyone could be proud of. He was preceded in death by his siblings who passed away in the same accident, Jessup Crow, Kyle Crow, and Kaylee Crow; and his maternal grandfather, Wayne Blackburn. Jacob is survived by his father and step mother, Stephen J. and Amanda M. Rinaldi Jr., of Felton; step-father, Jason Crow, of Felton; sisters, Abbigail J. Rinaldi, of Felton, and Jayden Crow, of Harrington; paternal grandparents, Stephen J. and Marcella A. Rinaldi Sr., of Ellendale; maternal grandmother, Mary Margaret Ellingsworth, of Rising Sun; step-maternal grandparents, Bobbie and Dennis Cox, of Harrington; special aunt, Gabby Outten, of Ellendale; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Memorial service will be 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be following the family service at the Dover Building, Delaware State Fairgrounds, Harrington, 1 p.m. Saturday, in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
